The Ideal Village program is an integrated collaboration platform delivering holistic solutions for education, healthcare, clean energy, water, sanitation, and sustainable livelihoods that lead to healthy, self-sustainable and economically viable rural communities globally. The Coronavirus Pandemic 2020 has superimposed a brand-new set of challenges and limitations on sustainable rural development, thereby shaking the very foundations of human and environmental well-being in many ways.
The 1st Ideal Village conference at Stanford University was focused on “Innovations for the Ideal Village”, and themes in subsequent years included: “Collaborations for the Ideal Village” (2017), “Empowerment of Women in Rural/Underserved Communities” (2018), and “Corporate Social Responsibility” (2019). This year's Conference will include Zoom Webinars focused on the theme of: Sustainability and the Pandemic: Ensuring Human and Environmental Wellbeing.
