About DEL

Main content start

The Designing Education Lab (DEL) aims to:

  • Explore what it means to be a 21st century engineer
  • Design, implement and assess research-informed educational tools
  • Support the communities of scholars and practitioners in academia and industry who are engaged in educational research and novel educational methods; and
  • Contribute to and advance:
    • Equity in engineering
    • Broadening participation in creation
    • Encouraging creation and creators
    • Caring for people's lifelong well being.

This work is grounded in and motivated by personal interest and experience, builds novel connections, aims for change, and is informed by "history" and evidence.
